I am the youngest of my family. I was adopted by my Mum and Dad who I love very much (even though I bite them). I like to do nothing and everything (all at once). I have Cat-itude and I wanted this blog to tell you all what I think about everything. So listen up.

Ain't that da truth

Mum found this cartoon in "Australian Readers Digest" April 2005 and she loved it so much she had to pinch it from the doctors surgery (shhh), and post it here for everyone.

The Bats

Mum wouldn't let me outside tonight. Sandy was barking a lot, and she was a little worried about why. When she went to investigate, there were some bats in our yard. We live near a big wildlife park, and they have bats roosting in their trees. They come out at night and silently swoop through the night sky, raiding our fruit trees. Mum said they are bigger than me! That's pretty big.

I think she was a little worried that one might swoop down and pick me up, but Hello - they are fruit bats Mum - what do I look like? An orange?

What a week!

Hi guys,

Sorry if I worried you because I wasn't about much. It has been a very hard week for us. My mum hasn't been too well and she hasn't been able to post for me.

Plus - we had a disaster. The woofer outside "Sandy" grabbed my favorite toy "Crabby" and ran off with him. I was stunned. One minute Crabby and I were playing and the next minute he was in the jaws of the beast. Luckily Mum saw and she immediately rescued Crabby from Sandy's slobbery jaws. Unfortunately Crabby wasn't the best. He had (sob sob) holes in him (sob sob - sorry, I get so emotional about it).

Mum cuddled me and told me she would make Crabby as good as new. And you know what? It was touch and go for a while there, but he came out of his Op-er-way-shun and he was as good as new. I was really careful with him for a while, cause I know how sore I was after my Op-er-way-shun, but Mum said Crabby was okay, and so yesterday we played all day. I think things are going to be okay.

Next time I saw Sandy I stuck my paw up at her. Mum said it was a rude gesture, but I don't care.
I did it for Crabby. Crabby, this one is for you! Take that Sandy.

There is just nothing on TV this weekend

I flicked around for a while, but there was nothing on.

I saw a program on "the Big Cats" thinking it was a kitty weightloss show, but it was about some huge things that live in Africa that look more like Woofers than Kitties.

Then I got excited when I saw a movie being shown titled "A Knights Tale" and I thought it was about my mate Knightly, and that they had spelt "Tail" wrong (you know how these beans are). But it wasn't anything like it. It was about some silly beans with really weird clothing running around all over the place.

Then I saw a medical program about cat scans, but there wasn't any kitties on that either! It just had more beans and big machinery things!

I did find a program about kitties in the end, but it was so traumatic I had to switch it off. It was about kitty rescues from Beans that didn't look after them as they should be looked after. You know - I think I have it pretty good after all. I Love you Mum and Dad.

But - I tell you, I don't know why my Mum and Dad got this Foxtel thing - there are hardly any kitty programs on it.

And another thing - There are no Foxes on Foxtel either - What is with that?

So what did you do this weekend?

No more conehead!

Daddy took me to the Vet this morning and they removed the stitches in my paw (Dad had to put me in a headlock to keep me still enough for the Vet to do his job hehe - Well surely he didn't think I would make this easy for him).

So no more conehead - yay. The incision area hasn't quite closed but the Vet thinks it will be okay. Mum and Dad are not letting me outside though until it has definately closed - they are too worried about infection.

Here is a pic of the deconed me, snuggling up to lamby (mum's knitting bag). He is kinda snuggly and comforting, and I have had a really rough day.

The Paw Portrait contest

Mum keeps chasing me with the camera - more than usual.

She wants to snap a picture of my paws for Finnegan & Buddy's Paw Portrait Contest.

I know my paws are beautiful, just like the rest of me.

The Family Update

Molly got sprung on camera with her tongue just pocking out. I told her she looked goofy - She promptly beat me up.

Maddison is doing really well. She has worked up to being outside during the day, as long as nobody throws the ball she stays pretty quiet. Mum takes her for small walks which she loves. Sandy is happy she is outside too (Molly and I am as well!) Look she is even smiling:

This is a christmas picture of my cousins. The little one is Rollie - he is a Maltese\shitzu cross, and the Big fella is Kye - a purebred German Shepherd. They are pretty cute in this picture but if they visit, I hide!

The new fashion statement!

"Don't you dare say a word!"

I can still curl up on the couch and sleep. Of course, I find the kitchen sink a perfect fit (especially on hot days). Mum found me here, snoring away. It's a hard life.

Dad still gave me lots of cuddles - but I did feel pretty silly. If you enlarge this picture (click on it), you can see the stitches in my paw - in the foot closest to Dad's head.

I found keeping clean has been pretty hard. I spent a lot of time cleaning my fur through the plastic, and then I gave up and just kept licking the plastic. MMMMMmmmm plastic - it tastes great.
Tomorrow my stitches come out and the cone comes off my head (I hope). Then I can go back to totally annoying the crap out of my fur sister Molly. She hasn't been scared of me whilst my cone is on, so that HAS to change!

Some more bandaged pics

Mum said that the papilloma thingy wasn't so bad - like a wart I guess. Certainly not anything to worry too much about. I am not so worried about it any more.

Mum forgot to show you some more pics of me with the bandage on my paw.

I tried to lick it off - really I did. It wasn't until just before I went to see the Vet that I actually succeeded. I tried real hard to keep it clean.

Hey I found my paw!

I couldn't wait for tonight - so during the day today I took the bandage off my paw. Mum was a little worried about me doing this, but everything looks okay.

Then we went to the Vet. My Vet is really cool - they have a giraffe out the front! Bet your Vet doesn't have that!

They even have a "P Tree" for the doggies before they go in for their appointments (I think that is because they get scared and have accidents - not like us kitties).

This is my Vet - isn't she lovely! You can see how she likes me. We always have cuddles.

So I am okay - my paw was there still under my bandage and everything. The only thing is I now have to wear a collar (Dad called me bucket-head), for another week so I don't pull out the stitches. Then next Wednesday I have to go back to get the stitches out.

Oh and the Vet said my paw thingy was a kitty papaloma (Mum wasn't sure how to spell that).

My Vet said she might visit my site, so maybe she can tell me how you spell that.

Some special new arrivals

Here is another "Bunch" of friends. This is Cato Lily. Her Mum works with my Mum's sister. Isn't she the prettiest girl! She is a pedigree Burmese and this photo was taken last Friday. As you can see she is very pregnant in this picture with her second litter of pedigree Burmese kittens. We were all taking bets on how many babies there would be.

We didn't have to wait too long. On Sunday Lily had 8 kittens! Yes 8.

I think they are so cute - and look what a loving Mum she is. I can't wait to see them grow.

Although I am not too impressed with the gazed looks Mum has when she looks at this picture. I don't want her getting the impression that another cat would be welcome in this house. I think we have enough kitties here already.

p.s. If you would like to check out their website it is here.

A new friend I want you to meet

I want you to meet a new little friend. She is the new baby of a friend of my Mums, who ironically already lives with two cats, called "Molly" and "Oscar". She is only 13 weeks old, and at the moment, her name is Sapphire (but that is still being decided as her new mum gets to know her). Isn't she gorgeous! She is an Australian Tiffanie.

I think she already has her Mum well trained.

I wonder if her Mum is going to create a blog for her? I will have to ask her.

By the way, this is a picture of her Mum "Josie". She is pretty spunky. I asked Mum if I could ask her out for a date, but Mum said they live in Sydney which is like 8-10 hours drive from here, so it would be a little hard to date her. I might just stick a picture of her on the wall of my kitty condo and pretend she is my girlfriend.

Happy belated Australia Day.

I have been asking Mum to post this for me for a whole week now - she says she has been busy - yeah, busy chasing me around with a camera.

Last Thursday, 26th January was Australia Day. It is a day we celebrate the diversity of this great country of ours. I think that means being happy that there are lots of different types of kitties and other animals.

I celebrated with lots of catnip (to help me forget the pain of my paw which started hurting me a couple of days ago), and Mum said I got a little too high. She found me on the bed, the Australian flag over me, singing "Advance Australia Fair" at the top of my voice.

It was a lovely day. I also got to have my Mum and Dad home with me for the whole day!

As you can see I was pretty happy:

Tomorrow night I go to the Vet and hopefully he will take my bandage off and my paw will be all okay.
