I am the youngest of my family. I was adopted by my Mum and Dad who I love very much (even though I bite them). I like to do nothing and everything (all at once). I have Cat-itude and I wanted this blog to tell you all what I think about everything. So listen up.

How to do the washing.

Okay, so last week I showed you how to sort Dad's socks out. But you may have wondered how they got clean. (We know how they got dirty!). So today I am going to show you how to do the washing (and they say I don't earn my keep!).

Firstly, put all the clothes (including the socks) into the washing machine. Make sure they are no obstructions in the sink either - we don't want the outlet water overflowing.

Then once the clothes are all in, sprinkle some magic cleaning dust over the clothes.

You still with me? Good!
Oh and one more thing. I always like to make sure the clothes are really dirty, so when Mum isn't looking I..... (Mum here interrupting - OSCAR we do NOT do that to the clothes! Now don't you ever let me catch you thinking about doing that again. To all you other kitties learning how to wash clothes - please ignore this step as your Mum is not going to be pleased with you either if you do - ok - back to you Oscar.).

Sorry Mum - (bit embarrassed) - I was only kidding honest. I wasn't really doing anything naughty - I was just getting ready to jump down so we could close the lid. HONEST.

So once it is going, there is nothing to do except lay back and wait for it to be finished!

Phew - that was hard work.

Helping Mum

Today we were helping Mum put all the washing away. Here you can see Molly supervising - she got the easy job. Can you see me in the background?

I'm sorting Dad's socks out. It's really hard as they are nearly all black but Dad hates it if we get it wrong. I am so glad I can help Mum get it right - sure makes it easier on her.

So all you kitty friends - I hope you help out your Mum and Dad too when you can. It's a big responsibility but I feel so happy that I can earn my stinky goodness. Mum was so pleased she even gave us special little tasty kitty treats - yummo.

Catscan - (not me, just another adorable feline)

Meet the family

I thought it was about time I showed you the rest of my brothers and sisters.

This is my sister Molly (you have seen her before) I will post Molly's story soon. She is the real princess of the family. This is my other sister Maddison. Maddison is a border collie cross Jack Russell and she is beautiful (even if I say so myself). She is like a minature Border Collie, and some people think she is a black fox. She loves tennis balls and we like to play together sometimes.

These are my other "siblings"- a pair of Indian Ringneck parrots. They are breeding at the moment and don't like Mum pointing the camera at them, so it is very hard to get a picture.

If they had behaved they would look something like this - a mature indian ringneck (no relation):
Finally there are the fishies. I LOVE the fishies, except Mum and Dad don't like me playing with the fishies - meanies. My Dad breeds tropical fish in our garage at home. He has about 50 fish tanks and one day he hopes they will make enough money for him to quit his day job and stay home and play with me all day. So go fishies go!
and then of course there is Mum, but she is very camera shy and I don't think you will see a good picture of her. Of course, I think she is the most beautiful human I have ever seen, but then I haven't seen many humans, cause I am mostly an indoor cat.

So there you go - that is my family.

I'm on the prowl!

Mum has that camera out again. I suppose I should pose for her (click on the picture to enlarge it and see how handsome I am):
Wait - is that a bird in my backyard?

Waking up my humans

Sometimes (like the weekends) I have to go to extreme measures to wake up my humans. This is my favorite way. I call it "footsies". OK - so this is what I do. I put my paws under the doona, and my head on top of the doona so I can see where I am going. Then I like shuffle up the bed until I reach Dad's feet, then I attack them. hehe

Mum thinks it is funny, when Dad suddenly bolts upright in bed hollering "Watch the claws!". This morning she took some pictures of me waking up Dad.

Here I am getting ready to do the kitty shuffle:

Here I am in full shuffle mode. Check out the look of determination in my eyes. LOL.

Oscar and friends (here's the friends bit)

I have new cat friends (and a birdie too - who ever thought I would be friends with a birdie!). I am so excited. I wuv having new friends. Please visit them (links to the left). They are all so cute!

My staring competition

I'm going to win! I have been staring at this stone chook for 20 minutes now. I am not going to let some bird beat me at this game. I am the master. Hear me roar!
