The irresistible "meeces"
Mum and Dad often go to a pet warehouse to pick up supplies for their fishies business, and while they are there they try to pick out treats for the rest of the gang. This week they came home with 20 "meeces", new collars for Molly and I (required by law in Australia, along with registration tags for kitties), two new kitty brushes and a new tunnel system (yeah I guess we are spoilt).
Mum and Dad never said a thing about any of this when they got home. They kept them in the plastic bag that they brought other things home in, but I smelt them.
During the night I clawed and chewed through the plastic bag, and inside I found two more plastic bags each containing 10 "meeces". I brought those bags out, and chewed through one of them and before Mum could catch me (crinkling at 3am somehow woke Mum), I had pinched three "Meeces" never to be seen again. hehe
Mum had to put them in a cupboard to stop me pinching more.
I can't help it - they are just so irresistible.
Here is me with the remaining "meeces". Mum let me have another one yesterday and by the end of the day I had chewed off it's ears and tail. But it was soooooo good.
p.s. thank you for the lovely comments about my sister Molly. She is not sure as yet whether she wants to join the "coat of many colors" gang, but she will give it some thought. And boys - no - you cannot date my sister!

I absolutely love meeces! When I was younger, my human pet would dangle them above me, and I would leap into the air like a whale from water to snag it from her hand. Now that I am older, I have to be really motivated to do it, but the compulsion to thwap meeces still is powerful!
Mousies! I lurve mousies. I have hidden them all ofur the house an Mom doesn't know where, but whenefur I need one, I can bring it out. I grabs them by their tails an toss em an bat em an... wow, I gotta go find a mousie now.
Bye!
Ohhhhhhhhh I luvs meeses like that! You're luck to get the whole bag ful out! Too bad your mum hid the rest.

Well, they really should praise you for sniffing out the meeces, not hide tem from you. What do they expect anyway?

Those must have been catnip filled meeces, the best kind. Those 3 that went missing...you're keeping those for another time, right?
OMG! Brach and I love, love, LOVE those mice! Every Saturday, our mom pulls back the sofa to reveal 9 or 10 of them--which she places in our toy basket. By nightfall the same day, they will all be back under the couch.
She used to get them on a daily basis, but finally drew the line, saying her main job was not to retrieve our toys when we insist upon flicking them under the couch.
UGH! If that isn't your job, I don't know what is...
You are spoiled Oscar, but we love you anyway...
Enjoy!

You are so lucky to get al those presents! And so sneaky to find the meeces and make off with them, Oscar! Do your humans realise yet how much cleverer you are than them?
Good work Oscar! MOM! WE WANT MORE MEECES!
Dolce loves those meeses! We find meeses under the sofa, the bed, in my shoes, in the tub and in the laundry basket.
